WOW--JL had a really significant part on SVU tonight. She actually acted as the D.A. and tried a court case against a young boy. She was a tough cookie--nothing like our beloved Angela. Great acting!

You're right...she was very believable and edgy...a great part because it showed a human side to Donnelly that we haven't seen before. Her character can be sort of a witch...but you gotta love the show. I watch this show because of the story line - having JL on it is a real bonus!!!!!

I didn't see the show. Wish I had! :( It sounds so much like Judith Light -- to get into the part and become the character she is playing. After all, she didn't just play Angela Bower, she was Angela Bower. If anyone ever knows when this SVU episode will be on in reruns, please let the rest of us know. Thanks! :)

Hi all!

I wish I could have seen it last night! I got into a car accident--I'm okay-other than my dad is going to kill me--so I didn't quite get to see it. Do you know when she is going to be on another episode of SVU? Is it a every week thing now? Let me know!!

I can't believe you guys missed it, Rejoys & Supastah! Her part was so much more significant last night than it has been in the past. It was great. She was tough as nails, but it was so good to see Judith in character - any character! She was the primary lawyer on the case. She had about 100 more lines than all her previous scenes on SVU combined. Wow. I hope they use her more in the future. It would convert me!

She did have a nicely expanded role last night. She is playing the Jack McCoy counter-part, for those of you who watch the original L & O too.

Diane Wiest was moved over from that show to the SVU as the district attorney, although she wasn't in it last night.

I liked her character being both tough and flexible last night and of course J.L. was very good, as usual. And I also liked that she is letting her hair grow out some.

I'm sorry I didn't think to tape it to share :( .

Supastah, I'm glad you are okay after your car accident. I'm sure your dad won't kill you. Even if he growls a bit, you can bet underneath that he's just relieved that you are okay. No time is a good time to go through the hassle of dealing with insurance companies, repair shops, and maybe even dads, :) but having to do it during the holidays makes it even more inconvenient and annoying. Hope all goes well!

Yep, I saw SVU on Friday night (I watch it every week), and Judith was AWESOME! She has proven her versatility as an actress over and over again, and this performance is just another reminder of how great she is. Here's hoping they give her some more good story lines to showcase her talent! :D

Have a great Turkey Day!

I'm not sure if this will get read in time by anyone or not, but Judith's message board has a post saying that her SVU episode from Nov. 22nd (about the juvenile deliquents) will be RE-broadcast tonight on the USA network at 11 p.m. eastern. So those of you who missed it can catch it then, assuming you see this post.

Hey Frog --

Thanks for the timley news about the repeat...that episode was killer. JL was absolutely terrific as Donnely in the courtroom. This one affected me as much as it did the first time. How powerful!

Thank you so much, Frog, for letting us know about the repeat of Judith Light's appearance. I watched it and agree with elmeister and others--it was fantastic! It was one of the best performances I have seen from JL. She became Donnely, just like she became Angela Bower. Didn't you love reading her reaction in the courtroom when you knew she was disgusted at life and law when it requires watching a young boy suffer? Yet training and experience kicked in and she knew she was doing the right thing by doing her job. I can see why one might get hooked on this show if she is in it. :D
