Problems Uploading My Avater. ..can Anyone Help?

I tried to upload my avater that is a .gif format and it doesn't work. HELP!

If it comes up with an error saying the file format is incorrect, you might need to upload the file onto a file manager using a free image server or via ftp. Image server hosting is hard to find, but you may have to do so and use the URL for your avatar rather than your direct file. For image hosting, try "My Webpage" @ Netscape (http://mywebpage.netscape.com), Village Photos (http://villagephotos.com), or Boomspeed (http://boomspeed.com).

thanks frosty i will try that, and btw i tried using geocities last time for THIS avater i have now and it didn't work. . .haha but that's geocities/yahoo for you! :P

OK i got this all worked out now. . i went to http://mywebpage.netscape.com/
and uploaded it there. . .pure and simple. I tried others but none work. . .the weirdos!!

glad you got it work! Yeah, Yahoo Geocities doesn't allow direct linking, so that'll never work. Ah, it gets really annoying after awhile, but yeah...
