Hi,

welcome.

I am not Dutch but I always used to watch De baas in huis? on Nederland 1 (or VARA?) every Tuesday. That was the one important thing of the week
It was difficult 'cause I had to hold the antenna in the exact right spot but it was well worth it

Vaarwel,
Shaun

I am not Dutch either, but I am glad the first season of WTB was released on DVD in the Netherlands, so I was able to secure a copy by simply going to Heerlen, paying 27,- € at the local MediaMarkt, and thank you very much.
By the way, there used to be a Van Leest in Heerlen's Saroleastraat which is now gone (turned into a FRS), where they sometimes had some interesting UK releases in the shelves that were usually hard to find. I mean, the "Total Recall" special edition on double DVD by Momentum Pictures at a reasonable price...wow. It even contains the audio commentary, gesproken door de heer Verhoeven en Arnold himself. I have never seen this release anywhere else outside the UK. Pity the shop is gone.

Hi Astrid,

no, we've moved since then and didn't have any NL reception up north.
But as far as I know it wouldn't work at my parents' house anymore anyways, the antenna is long gone and with the satellite dish I don't think we get RTL4 or SBS6.

Pity...

Greetz,
Shaun

Hai Astrid,

Ik ben Daniëlle en woon in Nederland.
English now, since this isn't a Dutch forum.

I grew up with Who's the Boss? When it ended, I went on with my life without the sitcom. Till recently. I saw some reruns and I was fan again! And I even love it more than I did before. Maybe because I understand more of Mona's jokes... (kiddin')
I found out that I just love Judith. She inspires me. If only I could see her on stage and have the chance to meet her...

I'm not on the forum every day, but if you want to share info, feel free to respond!

groet, (= bye),
Daniëlle

I hope you will excuse me for squeezing in, Danielle, but I just wanted to join you in giving respect to and expressing admiration for Judith on the show. She really brought Angela Bower to life, something I did not at all appreciate when I first saw the series oh so many years ago.
By the way, I live right on the border with the Netherlands (grew up here too), and I learned the language from watching Dutch television, so I would like to say welkom op deze site just like I did when Astrid joined us here.
