Guest Stars Sighted

Hi, all. I haven't been on here in forever, but had an experience recently that only WTBR folks could appreciate. A couple weekends ago, my husband and I went to a movie at the Twin Cities Film Festival - one of my childhood friends directed it! Independent 90-minute film called BFFs (funny, great movie, by the way!)

Several cast members were familiar (like Richard Moll - Bull from Night Court!). However, there were two particular ones that were bugging me because they seemed SO familiar, but I couldn't place them. One of the leads (also writer/producer) and one of the other actors.

On the way home, by husband looked them up for me and, wouldn't you know it, they had both guest starred on WTB! No wonder I knew them!

The lead actress was Tara Karsian, who guested twice as a student and was in an episode we all know well, The All-Nighter. When my husband looked up the other guy, Dan Gauthier, all he had to say was "Pierce" and I knew - 8th season, 4th episode. I couldn't believe it was him (did you know over 20 years has passed? Ha, it seems like yesterday - but he's not quite as young anymore).

At any rate, I just thought it was cool to see some WTB alum all these years later!

So, this is kind-of neat. I was just watching this interview I found with my friend and the two co-stars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTSaNPXjgKg) and Tara says (around 11 minutes in) that Who's the Boss? was her first job. She stayed friends with the assistant casting director at the time (Greg Orson) and he is the one that did the casting for their movie BFFs. Small world!

I think this totally qualifies me as having a Who's the Boss? connection now, right? I have a friend that directed someone who was on WTB and used a WTB casting director in his movie. Sweet! (Of course, having met Tony Danza back in 1992 was a more direct connection, but I digress...)

That is neat! And I would definitely say that qualifies as a connection.

Angela: (Touched) Oh, Tony, that is so beautiful.
